4 June 2010 Update

Whew. It's really bad when we're this tired the first week of June! But, as they say," it's a good tired."

We've been too busy to update you on all that has gone on here the past couple of weeks. Jeff has been in northern Peru in the department of San Martin working with two groups. One group was led by one of our former youth from Oxford who is now attending Southwest Baptist University in Missouri. This team lived in a jungle village for several days as they shared the gospel by teaching in the school, visiting house to house, showing movies, and more. They are a great team who have made an impact for eternity here in Peru.

First Baptist Oxford, MS sent a team to work in the same general area. This team was able to work in schools, lead bible studies, visit door to door in two villages, and do some prayer walking. This team was always ready to do whatever was asked of them and did a great job. Their video is here...

We are so grateful for those of you who are praying. Please continue to pray for the work going on here in Peru. Your prayers are much more important than anything we can attempt to do. You can pray specifically for:
  • Haylee and Jackson as they finish up their school year.
  • We have four International World Changer projects coming up over the next few weeks with over 250 students coming to Peru. Please pray for our team as we coordinate these projects.
  • We have a multitude of projects for college students this summer. Pray for these teams as they travel to different parts of northern Peru to take the gospel to difficult places.
  • Please praise God with us for the 3rd largest Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in history. This will allow some doors to be opened for ministry! Thank you for giving!
Thank you so much for your partnership! Please let us hear from you.

Love,
Jeff, Liesa, Haylee, and Jackson
